I Wanna Be A Stuntwoman

If there was anything I would want to be except an actor, it would be a stuntwoman. Remember the 80's TV show "The Fall Guy"? Yeah, I loved that show as a kid. I thought those tricks were so cool (right up there with McGuyver). And today, I got my first professional stunt experience. And I haven't stopped smiling (of course, the feeling in my shoulder hasn't come back either). Let me introduce you to Alister and Wolfgang:

These guys are amazing. Alister even went so far as to help me learn how to do a back walkover and to improve my handstand. They have worked on big movies, like "V for Vendetta", "The Pianist" and "Aeon Flux". Check out their websites...

Our session was awesome and I'm sure we'll be sore tomorrow, but it was worth it! We did a warm-up, learned some rolls and basic rules of fighting on film. Ah hack, it's better described in pictures. So here ya go...

Yeah, I know. Total goofballs . . . oh, stop laughing.

When did somersaults get complicated? ;-)

And then Manu arrives...

And then he gets to beat the crap out of me (we're very progressive. Equal opportunity ass-kicking)

*ouch*

And last, but not least, Alister gave me some practical gun weilding tips. Good thing, too. I'd hate to be one of "those" girls in the films we've all seen. You know the ones, they're more likely to shoot themselves than the bad guy. Oh please, please, don't let me be one of them!

And, oh, I have so many more photos! Alas, no time. But you'll definitely be seeing these guys in future entries. Look forward to it. G'night.
